This is my idea, obviously I need to add the location and time date and all that jazz but i just wanted to show what i have for now. I have the lobo for UNM and beads that are on the lobo and beads that are wrapped around a moon. I was going to put a mask on the lobo but i did not want to mess with the lobo logo to much. but it focuses on mardi gras. i would want to put any other info on the bottom left hand corner on the lobo. so i want to grab the audiences attention first and them make them see that info next. What you think?

The lobo is directing the eyes to the moon with the info. but if you look anywhere else you get lost in the beads. nice light and 3-Dness of the beads. Wait are you doing illustration or text?
ReplyDeleteDanielle has a point, Illustration 2 students only do images/illustrations. So don't add text, that's page layout 2's work. Nice touch with giving the viewer a sense of UNM. That's cute that you gave the coyote some beads. The use of your beads is a bit of a over kill. The use of opacity could make this stronger, like making the beads that move inward could lessen their opacity and still have movement for the eye and to have the rest of the information a place to sit.
ReplyDeleteNice!!! I like how you incorporated the UNM colors & yet gave it a Mardi Gras feel with the beads. I would work on the rows of beads though so that your illustration can be easily copied for buttons & shirts.
ReplyDeleteDid you use gradients? If so, it won't look as nice once printed so I would simplify that 3D effect. Otherwise... great job!
Pretty cool, I like how the concepts put together with the wolf and beads if those are beads.
ReplyDeleteThe whole image is leading your eye to that one specific spot on the poster. Nice. Have you experimented with colors? When I look at the poster it reminds of the wolf from Okami. Nice job.
